Last week I volunteered at a charity event for Family House called Bubbles & Bling. Family House is a home where children and their families can stay while receiving treatment for pediatric cancer at UCSF Childrens Hospital. It’s a fantastic organization and I had so much fun volunteering. Bubbles & Bling is a shopping event where local jewelry and clothing boutiques create a mini market that benefits the Christmas fund for the children staying at the Family House. I spent the entire night admiring gorgeous cocktail dresses and outfits. There ladies were dressed to impress..Chanel, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and much more. I just stood there calculating peoples entire outfits. Seriously, one lady’s outfit could have paid off my entire student loan…..twice….. WTF.
Anywho….I wore a little black dress from Theory with a full skirt that I picked up from Buffalo Exchange for $20 bucks! I paired them black tights and brought out my wedding shoes (Christian Louboutin), since they were the “bling” part of my outfit. I added a nice set of dangly gold earrings and a cute Kate Spade Pride & Prejudice book clutch (I got it on sale for $90 bucks!). This is my easy go-to cocktail outfit and it always makes me feel super chic and Audrey Hepburn-esque.
