1. Third Annual Dogpatch Microhood – Grab the MUNI T line after work on January 23rd and and head over to the Dogpatch to get complimentary drinks and factory tours! This includes a inside look at  Magnolia’s new brewery, sweet deals from Rickshaw Bagworks, Speck, and many more companies that call the Dogpatch neighborhood home.

2. 2013 Bay Area Travel and Adventure Expo – Take the trek down to Santa Clara on Jan 25-26th to check out the travel expo. Rick Steves, Samantha Brown, and other Travel Channel hosts will be hosting seminars and sharing their travel secrets. I went to a similar show in NYC last year and I got some great deals and discounts after networking with hotel owners and travel agents. Also buy tickets on Goldstar to get a 50% discount!

3.  Bloom That – A few months ago my co-worker got this cute little succulent plant at work as a present from her brother’s girlfriend. It was so adorable that I had to find out the name of the company. Bloom That is a company that will deliver flowers or plants to anyone in SF within 90 minutes for $20- $60.  I think it’s such an cute idea, I would LOVE to get a succulent plant as a small present. It’s a great present for birthdays, thank you’s, or just because.

4. SF Sketchfest – Check out some of the funniest people alive in SF! Key & Peele ,  Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph, Doug Benson, and Michael Ian Black—if you don’t know these people—Google them. You will thank me. Tickets range from $25 to $45.
