Crown Lanta Resort and Spa Review – Koh Lanta, Thailand

After a spending out time exploring in Bangkok, we decided to take it easy and head on down to Koh Lanta, an island south of Krabi. The reason I chose Koh Lanta was that it’s not as touristy as the other places. We really wanted to stay on a lazy beach island and that’s exactly what we got!

We stayed at the Crown Lanta Resort & Spa for a couple days. It’s a trek to get there but its totally worth it! We took a 90-minute ride in a van from Krabi (which includes a ferry ride!) to the resort. Crown Lanta was kind enough to book us a driver to pick us up and drop us off at the airport during our stay.

The resort itself is like a jungle oasis with large pools and greenery everywhere! Our rooms came with a baby cot and we had breakfast included. The staff there was SUPER kid-friendly. Everyone was so kind and helpful with Elara, which was a running theme throughout our travels in Thailand!

Reggae Bar

On our first night, we headed down to The Reggae Bar , the resort’s beachside bar area, where we tucked into a small cabana and watched the sunset over the island.  Elara rolled around on the mats and Rhut and I were able to enjoy a nice cold drink and relax! The hotel does offer free shuttles into  the main part of town in Saladan where you can find restaurants, craft markets and a Tesco that is open 24/7 in case you need to make an emergency diaper trip like we did!

The best part of the resort was the pools! I just wanted to spend all day every day in the pool! Each hotel residence has a pool and there was clearly a party pool and a more private pool. The party pool was full of fun floatys and a swim-up bar. Elara loved floating around on this giant pink flamingo! In the evening we headed over to a smaller private pool where the hotel had some rooms where the back patio connected right into the pool!

Overall our stay at Crown Lanta Resort and Spa was exactly what we needed after weeks of being on the go! It’s a pool paradise and baby-friendly which, for us, made this our ideal vacation!
