Description
A simple apple crisp recipe perfect for the fall season! This recipe can be made in one 8×8-inch pan or three 6-inch round ramekins.

- 2 apple (340 g), 1/4 inch diced
- 2 tbsp (24 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 3 tbsp (30 mL) apple cider or water
- 1/4 cup (55 g) brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (31 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (39 g) rolled oats
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 3 tbsp (28 g) chopped walnuts
- pinch salt
- 1/4 cup (59 mL) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F/177°C.
- Toss diced apples, sugar, ground cinnamon and ground cardamom in a small bowl. Pour the apples into an 8×8 baking pan or divide the apples into three ramekins. Spread the apples out into an even layer. Pour the apple cider evenly over the apples.
- In a separate bowl, add brown sugar, all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, chopped walnuts and a pinch of salt. Mix well and add melted butter. Mix until well combined. Top the apples with pieces of the streusel mixture. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the crisp topping has browned. Cool for 10 minutes and then serve with a scoop of ice cream!
