Parle G Cookie Bottom Brownies


Description

Soft fudgy one bowl brownie recipe with a Parle-G cookie bottom base.


Ingredients

  • 20 Parle G cookies or 5 graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs (or 3/4 cup applesauce)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Grease an 8×8 square pan with butter and line the bottom with Parle G cookies. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until well incorporated. Add 3 eggs one at a time, mixing well in between each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the batter onto the cookie-lined greased baking pan. Gently spread the brownie batter out into an even layer. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Immediately after taking the brownies out of the oven, top with milk chocolate chips. Cool completely and enjoy!
