Description
Makes 12 colorful cinnamon blossoms cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup plus 1 1/2 tbsp (102 g) all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp (43 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup (46 g) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp (27 g) light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cornstarch
- 2 1/2 tbsp (35 g) heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- sprinkles (optional)
- 12 Hershey Kisses
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- In a mixing bowl, add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, add butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Mix with a stand mixer or hand mixer for 3 minutes on high speed or until light and fluffy. Add cornstarch, heavy cream and vanilla and mix for 1 minute. Add dry ingredients and mix until all the flour has been incorporated. Split the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Roll the cookie dough balls in sprinkles and place them 2-3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet pan.
- Bake the cookies for 8-9 minutes. While the cookies are baking, unwrap the Hershey’s kisses. Immediately when the cookies come out of the oven, press a kiss into the center of each cookie. Let the cookies cool completely and serve!
