This month for the Leftovers Club I got paired up with Ginger Stark from Stark Raving Delicious. She has to have the most badass name I’ve heard in a long time. This month I sent her some dark chocolate nut clusters. It was my way of avoiding strong smells (#pregnancyproblems) and get rid of leftover dessert mix-ins I had lying around.
The chocolate nut clusters came out crunchy and chewy, almost like a candy bar! You can add whatever nuts and candies you like. I used roasted salted almonds, pecans, caramel and toffee. To make them for festive I added some warming spices that would work well with the dark chocolate.
If you are in a hurry and need to whip up a quick treat for a party, this is perfect. It’s so easy to customize and the end product comes out DELICIOUS!
PrintCrock Pot Chocolate Nut Clusters
- Yield: 12 clusters 1x
Ingredients
- 8 ounces dark chocolate
- 1 cup salted, roasted almonds
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup caramel bits
- 1/4 cup toffee bits
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- pinch ground nutmeg
- sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Add everything to the crock pot. Turn on low and melt for 30 minutes or until all the chocolate is nice and melted. Mix well until everything is coated in chocolate-y goodness
- Spoon chocolate mixture into mini candy wrappers or soon mounds onto a parchment covered baking sheet. Top with sprinkles if you like. Refrigerate for 10 -15 minutes until chocolate is set. Enjoy!
Notes
If you don’t have a crock pot, melt chocolate in the microwave with 15 seconds bursts, mixing well in between until all the chocolate is melted. Add in your nuts and candies and mix well!
