Some times during the crappiest days, a pretty drink is all it takes to make you feel a little better! After a rough day of tantrums, I was feeling a festive, happy, light drink. And since pink drinks are so damn popular I decided to make my own natural version with rose! I used Rose Dose Bulgarian dried rose petals, which are high in antioxidants and grown without pesticide! This drink is perfect for Cinco de Mayo or your next summer barbeque. Just add a splash of rum or tequila to make it a party!
When you’re making the syrup, the syrup will initially be a muddy pinky brown color. Don’t stress! Once you add the lemon juice the color will brighten to a blush peachy pink color! I love how gorgeous this color is and the lemonade has just the right amount of rose and mango flavor. You can also use the syrup to make iced tea. Just use cool green tea to dilute the syrup instead of water!
